Photographs document late Ediacaran fossil specimens, sedimentological sections, and localities on the Bonavista and Avalon Peninsulas of Newfoundland, Canada. Folders are arranged by peninsula, then locality. Individual folders contain images of fossil taxa including Charnia, Trepassia, Aspidella, Bradgatia, Pectinifrons, Culmofrons, Fractofusus and Primocandelabrum. Data result from NERC grant NE/L011409/2 Constraining the origins of the Metazoa: Insights from ichnology, palaeoecology and taphonomy. Photographs were taken to document fossil specimens and sedimentary successions, to gather primary data for projects conducted as part of the IRF. These images will be useful to geoscientists with an interest in Ediacaran macropalaeontology. Other participants on this trip include Dr Emma Liu, and a team from IPGG Novosibirsk, comprising Prof. Dmitriy Grazhdankin, Natalia (Natasha) Bykova, Anton Kolesnikov, Vladimir (Volodya) Rogov, and Vasiliy Marusin. Photographs were taken in the field under permits issued to Dr A. Liu by what are currently the Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, and the Department of Fisheries and Land Resources (MPER), Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Photographs were taken using either a Canon 6D camera, or an Olympus TG-Series camera.
