Statement

100 and 10 L samples of groundwater and surface water, respectively, were taken from different locations in urban poor settlements in three different African cities. The virus particles were concentrated using a glass wool protocol. DNA was isolated and subjected to paired-end sequencing. The sequencing data were matched against a RefSeq virus database and the double-stranded DNA virus groups were compared.
