British Geological Survey (BGS) Geophysical Survey 1984/5: North of Shetland (16/05/1984 to 25/06/1984)
This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine geophysical survey took place in May to June 1984 to the west of the Hebrides on board the MV Gorsethorn. The purpose was to collect data as part of the UK continental shelf survey programme. The objective was to survey the Miller and Flett map sheets and part of the Foula sheet. Sea floor data were collected using Echosounder and Sidescan Sonar. Sub-bottom seismic profiling data were collected using Airgun, Deep-tow Boomer, Pinger, Sparker and Deep-tow Sparker. Gravity and Magnetometer data were recorded. These records are archived by BGS. No survey report currently available.
