The models are built from any available and appropriate data, usually held in BGS corporate databases. Geometric data to construct the form of the model might consist of digital Terrain Models, geological lines, borehole logs and other subsurface information. As well as constraining the model, such data might be used as images within the model. The lithological, hydrogeological, engineering, geophysical or geotechnical properties of the model might be included in the model and be sourced from other databases.
