Statement

The mineral resources are based on the BGS 1:625 000 Geological Map of the United Kingdom (North and South sheets), the BGS 1:250 000 Solid Geology map series, other BGS maps, publications and databases (specifically its BritPits database). Data was digitised using Microstation and later converted into ESRI attributed shapefile format.
