Diffuse CO2 degassing data from three campaigns across the Main Ethiopian Rift (NERC grant NE/L013932/1)
Diffuse CO2 degassing data from three campaigns across the Main Ethiopian Rift. Data are referenced in Hunt et al., 2017: Spatially variable CO2 degassing in the Main Ethiopian Rift: Implications for magma storage, volatile transport and rift-related emissions; https://doi.org/10.1002/2017GC006975.

Measurements were made by the accumulation chamber method (Chiodini et al., 1998), with a PP Systems EGM-4 Environmental Gas Analyzer for CO2 and an SRC-1 Soil Respiration Chamber and soil collar. At Sodere 90 measurements were taken over a grid with an approximate spacing of 800-1000 m. Fault profiles were examined along the central Main Ethiopian rift, 132 measurements were taken with spacings of 20-1000 m. Fault profiles were examined at Habilo, 247 measurements were taken with spacings of 10-20 m.
