Statement

Sediment gouge and Russian cores were taken and described in the field, and representative cores collected for laboratory analysis. Qualitative descriptions and sediment classification notation follows Troels-Smith Classification Scheme (1955). Diatom analysis followed standard laboratory and identification procedures, with a target minimum of 200 valves counted and identified per sample.
