It also contains mineralogical information, where the samples have been referenced back to ocean drilling expeditions, where the XRD methodology was consistent. The data were collated from published datasets produced by various ocean drilling programs, Deep Sea Drilling Project (DSDP), Ocean Drilling Program (ODP), Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) and International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP).
