Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) MCZ: East of Haig Fras: Multibeam Survey ehgf_itt: Western Channel & Celtic Sea (20/03/2012 to 31/03/2012)

MBES (MultiBeamEchoSounder) bathymetry and backscatter data obtained using a Simrad EM710. These data are archived with the Marine Environmental Data and Information Network (MEDIN) Data Archive Centres (DACs) including the British Geological Survey (BGS) DAC for geology and geophysics, The Archive for Marine Species and Habitats Data (DASSH) and the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) bathymetry DAC. The full site data package including raw is also available on request from BGS.

    Gardline was contracted to undertake the survey on behalf of Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Data collected using Simrad EM710 MultiBeamEchoSounder (MBES) systems. Processed using Caris HIPS and SIPS 7.1. Data collected and processed to IHO Order 1. Water depths reduced to LAT (Lowest Astronomical Tide) using VORF (Vertical Offshore Reference Frame).
