Radiographic images (RAD) using a Geotek rotating computed tomography core scanner (RXCT) and physical property analysis using a Geotek multi-sensor core logger (MSCLS) were collected on whole lined core. Subsequently, the core was slabbed 1/3 to 2/3 by the BGS core store using a specially designed clamping system to allow for asymmetric core slabbing (Monaghan et al., 2021). The core was then taken out of the clamp and let to fully dry out before being scanned for high resolution optical images (LS) and X-ray florescence (XRF) point analysis using a Geotek core workstation.
